Brandon De Hoyos, Editor

Brandon De Hoyos is a professional journalist with over 8 years experience. Currently, he serves as the editor for Instant Messaging and Social Networking for, part of the New York Times Co.

Before joining, he was a reporter and elections director for the Sun Newspapers, part of Houston Community Newspapers, and served as an intern for Disney Publishing and Teen People magazine.

Brandon has worked on over 12 campaigns (in three political parties), lobbied successfully in Washington D.C. for tougher BAC laws with Mother’s Against Drunk Driving, was an elected Democratic precinct chair, and a Hillary Clinton delegate to the Texas Senate District 7 Convention in 2008.

He is now a declared Libertarian, serving as chair of the Texas Libertarian Party‘s legislative committee.
